giant accessory house ![]() April 2026, by Guy
'Guido' Allen Billed as the largest motorcycle accessory store in
the Tokyo area, RicoLand offers a mind-bending variety
and quantity of options ![]() The staff, around 10
people, are front and centre to greet customers when
the doors first open each morning. From there on they
seem to have plenty to do with a huge stock to manage,
customers to look after and a busy workshop. ![]() Helmets are of course big business, with several racks on
offer. ![]() There is a specialised Shoei section. ![]() Plus a Shoei branded
custom-fitting service. ![]() It seems HJC is trying to get a stronger foothold in the
market.
Need a bag for the bike? This is part of
what's on offer. ![]() Dress up bits for your Yamaha single,
including wheels, mudguards and engine cases.
One of the walls of fasteners, brackets,
connectors and clips. ![]() It's also a dangerously tempting place to shop for tools. ![]() Need a mirror? ![]() Or perhaps a bulb of some sort? ![]() There are cabinets of higher-end gear to
tempt the would-be modifier. ![]() Of course you can get suspension. The contents of that Ohlins cabinet on the left would be worth a fortune. ![]() Here's one someone made earlier. It's a Kawasaki 900RS
taken out to 948cc and fitted with a full titanium exhaust
system, Ohlins suspension and high-end Brembo brakes. Even
the fuel tank is an aftermarket item – it's a 20lt (4.4 UK
gal, 5.3 US gal) aluminium unit from Yoshimura. It's also dripping in carbon-fibre and titanium
fasteners. We're talking about a 2018 model with around 1900km (1200
miles) on the odometer and it's yours for around ¥4.4
million (Au$38,700, US$27,500, GB£20,500, €23,600). If you're in the neighborhood, RicoLand is well
worth a visit. See more stories from our Japan
