'Guido' Allen Ferrari, just once, gave its blessing to a
motorcycle bearing its name ![]() It's a sidebar in
motorcycle history, rather than a major chapter:
Ferrari as we know it today did, just once, permit its
brand to be attached to a motorcycle – a one-off 1995
900cc four created by David Kay (above) and the team
at MV Mecchanica
Verghera in the UK. A factory blessing was
decided by Piero Ferrari, the second son of founder
Enzo. The latter had strong motorcycle connections. As for the motorcycle,
it clearly has MV Agusta roots. There are several stories online about the machine. Our favourite is this, a long assembly of sources published by The Autopian. See it here *** ------------------------------------------------- Produced by AllMoto abn 61 400 694 722 |
