Brit highlights at Mecum las Vegas, May 1

Mecum's recent Las Vegas auction showed solid numbers for prime Brit beef. Here are some highlights.

Triumph vetter x75

Lot F107 – 1973 Triumph Vetter X75 Hurricane – Au$29,900 (US$23,100, GB£16,700)...we might have expected this one to go higher.

bsa rocket 3

Lot F108 – 1969 BSA Rocket III – Au$35,600 (US$27,500, GB£19,900)...a very strong result for this model.

triumph t120

Lot F110 – 1959 Triumph Bonneville T120 – Au$29,800 (US$23,000, GB£16,700)

triumph tt special

Lot F109 – 1963 Triumph TT Special – Au$92,500 (US$71,500, GB£51,800)...a huge result for this model, even given its comparitive rarity.

areiel square four

Lot F111– 1958 Ariel Square Four (1000cc) unrestored – Au$22,000 (US$17,000, GB£12,300)

Vincent black shadow

Lot F103.1 – 1953 Vincent Black Shadow with electric start – Au$213,000 (US$165,000, GB£119,000)...well above where we might have expected this one to land – big result. See the listing for detail pics, as the electric leg installation is very tidy.

brough superior 680

Lot T146 – 1928 Brough Superior 680 OHV – Au$128,000 (US$99,000, GB£71,600)...strong result for a relatively obscure Brough, aka the 'little SS100'.

Norton Commando 1975

Lot T61 – 1975 Norton Commando 850 – Au$22,000 (US$17,000, GB£12,300)...strong result.

See the story on our example, here.

Triumph T160

Lot T67 – 1975 Triumph T160 – Au$18,500 (US$14,300, GB£10,400)

See the story on our example, here.
