your Indian Prince ![]() Crazy Horse Moto goes down the
single cylinder road (August 2025, by Guy 'Guido'
Allen; Top pic Mecum
Auctions) Long-established Crazy
Horse Moto in Victoria (Australia) has just
opened up a retail
site to support owners of Indian's historic
Prince range of singles. ![]() Owner Mark Barthelmie has long
been supplying and making parts for Springfield
historic twins, many of which are in his personal
collection.
The new site can be found at indianprince.bike.
In addition to offering an extensive range of
parts, it has a really good overview of the
various models. The range of 350cc singles ran
from 1925 to 1928 and Mark (above) reckons they
offer an affordable alternative for someone who
wants to get into the historic scene without
spending a fortune. He does practice what he preaches,
having been a long-term member of the Iron
Indian Riders in Australia, and serving on
various committee positions. ![]() One of his more intriguing finds
is the 1907 'Camelback' shown here. It was
discovered hidden away behind a big stack of
packing material when the old Spingfield factory
(aka The Wigwam) was being cleaned out and was
sold in 1956 for $20. It had remained in the
ownership of one family until Mark heard it was
available. Powered by a 316cc
inlet-over-exhaust engine, this machine was built
in the same year Indian launched its first V-twin
road bike. And yes, it runs. ![]() What's a top-notch Prince worth? The
immaculate 1926 version shown here and at
top was sold in February 2025 by Mecum in the USA
for Au$33,600 (US$22,000, GB£16,300, €18,800). ![]() The
