Yamaha OW-01 on the block August 1, 2020 A low-mile example of Yamaha's OW-01 750 is coming up for auction at Shannons, on August 19-26. This is a significant model in Yamaha's history and one which we've covered before in a feature. See it here. Shannons has an estimate of $15-20,000 on the machine, which claims little use and will need some recommissioning. Here is the auctioneer's description: "Understood to have been purchased new by the late owner, who worked for Yamaha Australia in sales and marketing, back in 1989 this very original FZR750R has never been raced and was rarely ridden. "Stored for a number of years since his passing, this very original, unmodified bike is now showing 5629 kilometres on the clock and must be one of the last one owner OW-01s to come on the open market. "Some recommissioning has been carried out prior to auction by Lloyd Penn Motorcycles of Artarmon, NSW and the bike does start and run but will require further work after prolonged storage, including a new fuel pump." See the listing here. The full auction catalogue is here. ------------------------------------------------- Produced by AllMoto abn 61 400 694 722 |
